From a release<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n LANSDOWNE STATION:<\/strong> The Pictou County District RCMP, with the assistance of the Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit, continue to investigate the disappearance of Lilly and Jack Sullivan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “We’re exploring all avenues in this missing persons investigation,” says Staff Sergeant Curtis MacKinnon, Pictou County District RCMP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “We have officers from multiple disciplines dedicated to finding Lilly and Jack, including highly trained RCMP major crime and forensic investigators.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n To date, more than\u00a0180\u00a0tips have been received from the public, and are being followed up on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”31″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”127″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n Officers have so far identified\u00a035\u00a0people for formal interviews as part of the investigation, including community members and those closest to the children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n On May\u00a08\u00a0and\u00a09, the RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team (URT) scoured bodies of water around Lansdowne Station; URT’s two-day operation didn’t uncover any evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “We continue to work day and night on this file,” says S\/Sgt. They were believed to have wandered away from their home on Gairloch Rd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A multi-agency search and missing persons investigation began immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The search, which was scaled back to specific areas on May\u00a07, has covered\u00a05.5\u00a0square kilometres of heavily wooded, rural terrain in the Gairloch Rd. area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It has involved up to\u00a0160\u00a0trained volunteer searchers and many others, and tens of thousands of search hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Efforts to locate Lilly and Jack also included two vulnerable missing persons alerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=”71″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n [adrotate banner=’126″]<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lilly and Jack is asked to contact Pictou County District RCMP at\u00a0902-485-4333. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
