{"id":55979,"date":"2025-06-18T07:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-18T10:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=55350"},"modified":"2025-06-18T07:30:00","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T10:30:00","slug":"new-health-clinic-opens-in-dartmouth-north","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=55979","title":{"rendered":"New health clinic opens in Dartmouth North"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;188&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;206&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DARTMOUTH:<\/strong> The Dr. Maria Angwin Memorial \u2013 Wyse Road Health Clinic in Dartmouth is now open.<br><br>The new clinic will offer a range of collaborative health services including primary care, gynecology, obstetrics, urology and midwifery and will host community programs such as the Nova Scotia Sisterhood and Nova Scotia Brotherhood.<br><br>\u201cCreating safe and healthy communities where Nova Scotians can access comprehensive and connected healthcare is a priority,\u201d said Health and Wellness Minister Michelle Thompson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis health clinic is a first for the community and one of two locations that, over time, will offer various services, programs and supports to Dartmouth North and surrounding communities.\u201d<br><br>Primary care services open on June 17. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate group=&#8221;7&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[adrotate banner=&#8221;31&#8243;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team at this health home includes four family physicians, a family practice nurse, a nurse practitioner and five administrative support staff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When fully operational, it will have capacity for more than 6,400 patients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The remaining services and programs will open throughout June and July.<br><br>The new health clinic is located at 230 Wyse Rd.
