{"id":56874,"date":"2025-07-15T12:37:45","date_gmt":"2025-07-15T15:37:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=56874"},"modified":"2025-07-15T12:37:45","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T15:37:45","slug":"police-arrest-three-firearms-seized-after-beaver-bank-break-and-enter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=56874","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest three, firearms seized after Beaver Bank break-and-enter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56501&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BEAVER BANK: <\/strong>An 18-year-old Beaver Bank man and two youths who cannot be identified have been arrested as part of an investigation into a break-and-enter where several firearms have been seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 11 at approximately 7:30 p.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, assisted by Halifax Regional Police Canine Unit, responded to a report of a break and enter at a home on Barrett Rd. in Beaver Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police used remotely piloted aircraft systems (drones) to locate and safely arrest three people in the wooded area near the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56526&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56179&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Carter Wright Neal, 18, of Beaver Bank, is charged with a total of 18 offences including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Careless Use of Firearm (two counts), Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose (two counts), and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (six counts). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had a first court appearance on July 12 at Dartmouth Provincial Court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two youth also arrested have been released on conditions pending future court appearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police recovered the six firearms taken from the home and executed search warrants at a residence and on a vehicle associated to the people arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While investigating the break and enter, officers observed multiple firearms unsecured and unsafely stored inside the home on Barrett Rd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This observation prompted a new investigation.
