HALIFAX:<\/strong> Water levels at Lake Major and Pockwock Lake continue to be lower than normal. Despite recent rain, much more precipitation is needed to return to normal levels.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since implementing the voluntary conservation measures on August 5th<\/sup>, Halifax Water has not seen a significant decrease in demand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without significant precipitation and increased conservation measures, these water levels will continue to lower and mandatory conservation measures will be required.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To conserve water, Halifax Water is requesting that all customers and those who live or work within a building serviced by Halifax Water follow voluntary water conservation measures until further notice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
