FALL RIVER:<\/strong> Brad Marchand doesn’t just help create a winner on the ice, he’s also helped a local Dairy Queen do its best ever Miracle Treat Day in its short history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peggy Rust, the franchisee\/owner of the Dairy Queen in Fall River, told The Laker News on Friday that some of the final numbers were in from Miracle Treat Day on Aug. 14. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of the wildfires, Marchand’s meet and greet was moved from the Bayer’s Lake DQ to the one in Fall River, and the people followed. It created quite a chaotic scene as hundreds showed up and Marchand did his best to get to see everyone and sign an autograph. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Florida Panthers star and 2024-2025 Stanley Cup Champion was able to do that, making memories for many local fans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rust said the store sold $245 in Miracle balloons that were put up on the walls of the store inside; they did $1,204.89 in round up for kids and net proceeds of $5,500 in Blizzard sales was donated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that Miracle balloons and round up is all from the customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Miracle Treat Day blizzards is what the franchise donated from their profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It total, almost $7,000 was donated to the IWK from the Dairy Queen in Fall River. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
