The other had fled prior to police arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim was transported to hospital by EHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56530&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 8 at approximately 1 a.m., officers safely arrested Bradley Metlin, 26, of Debert, at a residence on Passchendaele Ave. in Debert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Metlin is charged with Attempt to Commit Murder and Aggravated Assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on September 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators do not believe this was a random incident; the victim and suspect are known to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56511&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers have executed search warrants at a residence in Debert as part of the investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation is continuing and is being led by Colchester County District Community Action Tea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Support for the investigation is being provided by general duty officers, RCMP Forensic Identification Section, the Northwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit, and RCMP Digital Forensic Services (DFS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>File #: 2025-1325302<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56514&#8243;]<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DEBERT: A 26-year-old man from Debert is facing charges of attempted murder following an altercation outside a residence on Sunday afternoon.
