{"id":58461,"date":"2025-09-14T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-14T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=58461"},"modified":"2025-09-14T10:00:00","modified_gmt":"2025-09-14T13:00:00","slug":"video-story-easter-seals-nova-scotias-kartbahn-120-raises-10000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=58461","title":{"rendered":"Video Story: Easter Seals Nova Scotia&#8217;s Kartbahn 120 raises $10,000"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56501&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GOODWOOD:<\/strong> After a delay from its originally scheduled date in June, the Kartbahn 120 in support of Easter Seals Nova Scotia got the green flag on Sept. 10 at Kartbahn, located near Goodwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately seven teams were on hand to take part in the event, which raised more than $10,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Laker News&#8217; Pat Healey was on one of those teams that participated, Dent the Doors 2. His other teammates from the CKG Elevator-sponsored team made up Dent the Doors 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A free BBQ was held to help fill the teams up before 120 laps of fun entertainment and all for a good cause.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/012-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58462\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The green flag waves to start things with the CKG teams on the front row. (Dagley Media photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56530&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Healey was on a team with Braden Langille, who drives the no. 26 Coldstream Chill Pops ride on the FGI Pro Stock Tour, and Nyk Pothier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other three members, Maritime League of Legends drivers Josh and Nathan Langille and Gilby Motorsports crew member Drew Murphy, formed Dent the Doors 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the checkered flag flew after lap 80&#8211;shortened due to the number of participants and time of day&#8211;it was Dent the Doors 1 coming home with first by three laps and Dent the Doors 2 in fifth place, four laps behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They all got the first place trophies as they were entered as one team and organizers split all teams up to have more people on track at a time. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/042-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58465\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Pat heads out for his laps on track during practice.
