{"id":58633,"date":"2025-09-19T07:40:17","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T10:40:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=58633"},"modified":"2025-09-19T07:40:17","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T10:40:17","slug":"young-lower-sackville-hockey-player-selected-to-play-in-brick-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=58633","title":{"rendered":"Young Lower Sackville hockey player selected to play in Brick tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56557&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LOWER SACKVILLE:<\/strong> A young hockey player from Lower Sackville has been selected to participate in a tournament that showcases the best 9-10-year-old hockey players in North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Brick Tournament is a tournament that highlights the top 9\u201310-year-old players in North America and is held annually at the West Edmonton Mall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is considered Canada\u2019s top tournament for this age group and is a once in a lifetime opportunity for participating players and where many NHL players have competed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56179&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Preston Joseph, who is nine, and plays in the Sackville Minor Hockey Association has been selected to compete at the tournament in July 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is trained by Andrew Wigginton from Fusion Hockey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preston has recently been selected to compete with the Team Quebec Brick team at the prestigious Brick Invitational Tournament next July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Preston played for the Sackville Minor Hockey U11AA program as an underage player.
