BEDFORD: <\/strong>A 26-year-old Halifax area man has been charged with impaired driving and drug offences following a call to police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Hlaifax Regional Police, on Oct. 3 at approximately 7:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was noted that the vehicle had stopped in the centre of the road in the 900 block of Starboard Drive in Bedford. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon arrival, officers observed a man in the driver\u2019s seat who appeared to be asleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When officers woke the man, he showed signs of impairment and was arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the investigation, officers located and seized a quantity of money and a quantity of drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 26-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face charges of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Operation of a conveyance while impaired to any degree by alcohol or drugs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Possession for the purpose of trafficking<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Resist arrest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
