HUBBARDS: <\/strong> Black Harbour Distillery made its national television debut recently on CBC\u2019s Dragons\u2019 Den<\/em>, proudly sharing its story \u2014 and its spirits \u2014 with audiences across Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team celebrated the milestone with a packed local watch party at their Hubbards distillery, raising a glass to the journey that\u2019s taken them from small-batch beginnings to the national stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Black Harbour founders didn\u2019t walk away with a deal, that was never the goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe went into the Den to tell our story, not to sell it,\u201d said Jaime Landry, founder of Black Harbour Distillery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve built this brand on independence, authenticity, and community support. Staying true to that means more to us than any investment offer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dragons\u2019 Den episode highlighted Black Harbour\u2019s award-winning craft spirits and its deep Nova Scotian roots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally conceived as a university project, Landry founded Black Harbour Distillery in 2018 at just 18 years old. Now a thriving business, Black Harbour Distillery is the perfect blend of entrepreneurial spirit and East Coast community passion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distillery highlights the process of slow charcoal filtering, refining and polishing spirits and features a hospitality room, frequently hosting community events and bringing people together<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re beyond grateful for the support we\u2019ve received from our community – that\u2019s the real win,\u201d said Landry. \u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This experience was an opportunity to show the rest of Canada what Nova Scotian craftsmanship looks like, and we\u2019re just getting started.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Looking ahead, Black Harbour Distillery is preparing to expand its product lineup and retail reach, with new flavour launches planned for later this year and increased availability across Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team also plans to continue growing its online store, with new seasonal releases and collaborations throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJaime always wanted to put the community of Hubbards first,\u201d says JP Landry, Landry\u2019s father. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDuring the winter, when everything around here is shut down, Jaime decided to stay open and invest in a generator just so people had a place to go to charge their phones if the power went out. She\u2019s truly created a community hub here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
