{"id":59401,"date":"2025-10-17T07:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T10:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=59401"},"modified":"2025-10-17T07:30:00","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T10:30:00","slug":"gun-shots-hit-lower-sackville-home-rcmp-seeking-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=59401","title":{"rendered":"Gun shots hit Lower Sackville home; RCMP seeking information"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56506&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LOWER SACKVILLE: <\/strong>RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is seeking information from the public after gun shots hit a home in Lower Sackville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On October 15, at approximately 1 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of gun shots being heard in the area of Riverside Dr. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Officers learned that witnesses had been walking on Riverside Dr. towards Candlewood Ln. when they heard what they believed to be gunshots,&#8221; police said in a release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The officers patrolled the area, but found no evidence of a shooting scene or victims.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56179&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Later on October 15, officers received information from a different witness who had also heard what sounded like gun shots around 1 a.m.; the witness saw a black sedan speeding away from the 1500 block of Riverside Dr.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers canvased the area and located a home with bullet holes.
