{"id":59614,"date":"2025-10-21T19:02:45","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T22:02:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=59614"},"modified":"2025-10-21T19:02:45","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T22:02:45","slug":"driver-charged-by-police-for-stunting-in-beaver-bank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=59614","title":{"rendered":"Driver charged by police for stunting in Beaver Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56506&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BEAVER BANK:<\/strong> A 37-year-old man has been charged for stunting along Windgate Drive in Beaver Bank on Oct. 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halifax Regional Police say that at approximately 7:55 a.m., a member of the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit observed a vehicle travelling at 118 km\/h in a 60 km\/h zone on Windgate Drive in Beaver Bank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vehicle crossed the double centre line and passed two other vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 37-year-old man was pulled over and ticketed for stunting and for an unsafe lane change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police say the man&#8217;s vehicle was seized and his licence was suspended for seven days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56179&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A stunting charge is laid when a vehicle is travelling more than 50 km\/h over the speed limit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fine in Nova Scotia for stunting is $2,422.50 and six points are assigned to the driver\u2019s record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit conducts regular patrols of the roads to enforce speed limits, address traffic safety issues and educate citizens on the rules of the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To report dangerous driving, call 911.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>File #25-15189<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56530&#8243;]<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BEAVER BANK: A 37-year-old man has been charged for stunting along Windgate Drive in Beaver Bank on Oct. 20.
