{"id":59874,"date":"2025-10-29T18:33:59","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T21:33:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=59874"},"modified":"2025-10-29T18:33:59","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T21:33:59","slug":"mount-uniacke-man-dies-in-east-uniacke-mvc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=59874","title":{"rendered":"Mount Uniacke man dies in East Uniacke MVC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56514&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EAST UNIACKE:<\/strong> A 45-year-old Mount Uniacke man has died as a result of a single-vehicle collision on Monday night in East Uniacke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police say that on Oct. 27 at approximately 7:40 p.m., East Hants RCMP and RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, fire services from Uniacke Fire, and EHS responded to a report of a crash on East Uniacke Rd. near Beamish Rd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Upon arrival at the scene, officers learned that the truck, a GMC Sierra, had left the roadway and hit a utility pole,&#8221; said RCMP in a release<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 45-year-old Mount Uniacke man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56376&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A collision reconstructionist attended the scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation remains ongoing, and is being assisted by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The crash caused a power outage in the immediate area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nova Scotia Power attended to help safely move the vehicle and restore power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>File #: 2025-1599374<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56557&#8243;]<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EAST UNIACKE: A 45-year-old Mount Uniacke man has died as a result of a single-vehicle collision on Monday night in East Uniacke.
