{"id":60917,"date":"2025-12-09T17:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T21:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=60917"},"modified":"2025-12-09T17:30:00","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T21:30:00","slug":"potter-named-mvp-for-lockview-high-dragons-football","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=60917","title":{"rendered":"Potter named MVP for Lockview High Dragons football"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56557&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FALL RIVER: <\/strong>The Lockview High Dragons handed out their year-end hardware last weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award winners were posted on the team&#8217;s Instagram account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year marked a milestone as the team played their home opener and several other games on the new Turf Field at Lockview High in Fall River. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards were handed out to MVP; Rookie of the Year; Most Improved Player; Unsung Hero;Defensive Heart and Hustle; Offensive Heart and Huslte; Block and Tackle; Lineman of the Year; Defensive Player of the Year; and Offensive Player of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56511&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Winning the awards were as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tucker Potter as Team MVP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Riley Skeete as Offensive Player of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Landon Felix as Defensive Player of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cam Parks as Lineman of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Josh Richardson took home the Block and Tackle honours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sam Lovett won the Offensive Heart and Hustle award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jacob Leschied was the recipient of the Defensive Heart and Hustle award<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Owen Paris won the Unsung Hero award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ryland Wall was deemed as Most Improved Player<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laidin Cornell won the Rookie of the Year award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dragons landed several players as School Sport Nova Scotia Division 1 All Stars as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56560&#8243;]<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FALL RIVER: The Lockview High Dragons handed out their year-end hardware last weekend.
