ELMSDALE:<\/strong> The Municipality of East Hants would like to remind residents that while there is no specific winter parking ban bylaw, parking must not interfere with snow removal or winter road maintenance, as outlined under the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vehicles parked in a way that obstructs snow clearing or maintenance operations may be subject to warnings, fines, or towing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parking enforcement applies year-round, including:
\u2022 No-parking and no-stopping zones
\u2022 Parking that obstructs traffic or pedestrians
\u2022 Improper commercial vehicle parking
\u2022 Abandoned vehicles
\u2022 Misuse of accessible parking spaces
\u2022 Blocking fire lanes, fire stations, hydrants, or emergency scenes
\u2022 Parking that hinders snow removal and winter maintenance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
