{"id":62124,"date":"2026-02-04T18:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-04T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=62124"},"modified":"2026-02-04T18:00:00","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T22:00:00","slug":"fun-to-be-had-at-winterfest-at-shubie-park-this-saturday-afternoon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=62124","title":{"rendered":"Fun to be had at Winterfest at Shubie Park this Saturday afternoon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56506&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DARTMOUTH:<\/strong> It&#8217;s going to be a festive good time this Saturday in the Dartmouth area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Shubie Park, it will be Winterfest &#8211; a Winter Tree Lighting in Februrary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People are encouraged to come on out to enjoy the fun and some hot cocoa; bonfire marshamallows; festive music; as the park gets lit up once more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019d love to see you there,&#8221; organizers said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is put on by Councillor Tony Mancini and the Shubenacadie Canal Commission (SCC). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fun will take place at 54 Locks Road in Dartmouth, N.S. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\">[metaslider id=&#8221;56179&#8243;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Parking is limited at Shubie Park so attendees are encouraged to park elsewhere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional parking can be found at nearby lots, including Michael Wallace Elementary School and Dartmouth Crossing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please allow extra time for walking, as some areas may be snow-covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not block driveways and don&#8217;t park in no parking areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winterfest will run from 4-6 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a list of those supporters that are making the event possible:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/627196449_1315306560626152_3566918740017749855_n-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-62126\" style=\"width:554px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Supporters that make Shubie Park Winterfest happen.
