We push each other and hype each other up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rushton\u2019s connection to lacrosse runs deeper than competition. Known as the \u201cmedicine game,\u201d the sport holds cultural significance for him and his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy mom is Mohawk and always told me about lacrosse being a gift from the Creator and the medicine in it,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s in my roots.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the national tournament being held in Halifax, Rushton isn\u2019t feeling added pressure, just excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited for my friends and family to be able to come out and watch me on the floor and experience this with me,\u201d he said. \u201cI have a lot of support.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ADVERTISEMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\"><div id=\"metaslider-id-56560\" style=\"width: 100%;
