{"id":8932,"date":"2018-11-12T10:37:35","date_gmt":"2018-11-12T14:37:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaker.ca\/?p=8932"},"modified":"2018-11-12T10:37:35","modified_gmt":"2018-11-12T14:37:35","slug":"fall-river-road-hwy-2-paving-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/?p=8932","title":{"rendered":"Fall River Road, Hwy 2 paving begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FALL RIVER:<\/strong> The road paving for Fall River Road and Highway 2 as part of the Fall River water project will begin today, Nov. 12 and continue Nov. 13 weather permitting.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Halifax Water is advising motorists and pedestrians, as part of the extension of water service to the community of Fall River, Dexter Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, will have <strong>stop and go, single lane traffic from approximately 1397 Fall River Road to the intersection of Highway#2 (see attached map). <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The hours of work will be 7am &#8211; 4pm, weather permitting. <\/strong>During this work traffic lights at the intersection of Highway#2 and Fall River Road will be shutdown.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8934\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8934\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8934 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/work-zone-map-Fall-River-Nov-13-2018-page-001-e1542033319363.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"618\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8934\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The work area for Nov. 13.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>On Tuesday, November 13<sup>th<\/sup> there will be rolling stop and go, single lane traffic from the intersection of Fall River Road\/Highway#2 heading toward <\/strong><strong>Mill Brook Crossing, near Inn on the Lake <\/strong><strong>(see attached map)<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours of work will be 8pm &#8211; 7am, weather permitting. <\/strong>During this work traffic lights at the intersection of Highway#2 and Fall River Road will be shutdown.<\/p>\n<p>Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zones. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Pedestrian access will be maintained.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists should expect delays.
