No one was home at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Fire crews from Beaver Bank; Sackville; Fall River; and Wellington responded to the call as it was in an area that was not hydrated.<\/p>\n<p>Halifax District RCMP and EHS also attended.<\/p>\n<p>In the fire investigation report, investigators could not determine the ignition source.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe area of origin was determined to be a kitchen, bedroom, and laundry area,\u201d the report posted on HRM Fire\u2019s website said. \u201cThere were no operating smoke alarms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cause of this fire is classified as incendiary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a release on Feb. 7, Halifax District RCMP spokeswoman Cpl. Lisa Croteau said that at approximately 12 p.m. on Jan. 29,\u00a0police received a call of smoke coming from the residence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The fire was extinguished quickly and significant damage was done to the building,&#8221; said Cpl.
