Only for her, it\u2019s the less fortunate that are the recipients of her big heart.<\/p>\n<p>MacDonald-Miles, a Lockview High student and creator of the non-profit Links of Love, spoke to the Me-to-We team at Georges P. (Healey photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Following the Fall River girls speech, students in the club at the school brought in more than 200 jeans which were given to MacDonald-Miles during a visit to the school in early February. <em>The<\/em> <em>Laker<\/em> was on hand to cover it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s amazing to get 200 jeans,\u201d said MacDonald-Miles. \u201cI can\u2019t believe how many kids wanted to help[ out the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an awesome feeling to see there\u2019s so many people wanting to help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said it\u2019s good to see there\u2019s other generous kids like her wanting to help the less fortunate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody wants to help out everybody,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s not just one person wanting to help, there\u2019s a whole school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MacDonald-Miles said Jeans 4 Teens is going to do a few more campaigns, including possibly throwing a challenge to Lockview High to collect more than 200 jeans.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9703\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9703\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9703 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-z.thelaker.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/062-e1550208624621.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9703\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Students carry the jeans to place them in the back of a vehicle to be taken to Brunswick Street Mission. (Healey photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>For the students, it was a great experience to be involved in, said Anna Jollimore.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was really awesome because now we know we\u2019re going to be helping out lots of kids who don\u2019t have jeans,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s a really nice feeling to get to know people out there who don\u2019t have something now will have something shortly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She was amazed at what the group was able to do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s amazing how if everyone works together we can go ahead and make life better for others,\u201d said Jollimore.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FALL RIVER: Sarah MacDonald-Miles is like the Energizer bunny\u2014she keeps giving back.
