Mariners acquire Fraser’s MHL rights

NINE MILE RIVER: A Nine Mile River hockey product has had his Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MHL) rights traded.

Brody Fraser was acquired on Tuesday night in a trade between the Yarmouth Mariners and the South Shore Lumberjacks.

The Mariners sent a third round pick in the upcoming 2020 draft, set for this weekend on Eastlink TV via video, and future considerations to the Jacks for Fraser.

South Shore had drafted Fraser in the 2019 MHL draft with the seventh overall pick in the first round.

With the Cole Harbour Wolf Pack of the NSMMHL in 2019-2020, the six-foot-one Fraser racked up 11 goals and 26 assists in 28 games played.
