Police arrest Halifax woman for Lower Sackville thefts from vehicles

LOWER SACKVILLE: A Halifax woman has been arrested for theft from vehicles and related offences in Lower Sackville, Halifax District RCMP say.

On Nov. 14 at approximately 6:20 a.m. Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious person checking vehicle on Judy Ave. in Lower Sackville. A home owner had seen someone near their vehicle and was looking for the suspect.

Cpl. Lisa Croteau said police arrived and arrested the suspect without incident.

Laura Anne Crosby, 33, remains in custody and is schedule to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Nov. 16 to face charges of Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property.

Crosby is also charged with Theft Under $5000 x 6, Possession of Stolen Property x 8, Fraud x 20, Theft of Credit Card x 6 and Trespass at Night x 6 in relation to thefts from vehicles from Lucasville and Eastern Passage, and for using credit cards stolen from these vehicles.

The investigation is ongoing.
