FALL RIVER: Brad Marchand doesn’t just help create a winner on the ice, he’s also helped a local Dairy Queen do its best ever Miracle Treat Day in its short history.

Peggy Rust, the franchisee/owner of the Dairy Queen in Fall River, told The Laker News on Friday that some of the final numbers were in from Miracle Treat Day on Aug. 14.

Because of the wildfires, Marchand’s meet and greet was moved from the Bayer’s Lake DQ to the one in Fall River, and the people followed. It created quite a chaotic scene as hundreds showed up and Marchand did his best to get to see everyone and sign an autograph.

The Florida Panthers star and 2024-2025 Stanley Cup Champion was able to do that, making memories for many local fans.
