Firefighters quickly knock down Mount Uniacke camper fire

MOUNT UNIACKE: Firefighters in Mount Uniacke quickly took care of a camper on fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire call for the camper on fire on Uniacke Mines Road came in at approximately 2:06 a.m.

According to the HRM Fire Incident Feed, Station 8 Bedford (Tactical) and Station 11 (Sackville) were paged mutual aid to Uniacke & District Fire. The Tactical unit response was quickly cancelled.

Upon arrival firefighters were met with reportedly a fully involved camper with structures and trees nearby.

The fire was knocked by by approximately 2:40 a.m.
