ENFIELD: Officers with East Hants RCMP issued six summary offence tickets during patrols in school zones last week.
Sgt. Scott MacRae, with East Hants RCMP, said officers were out in full force in school zones this week, conducting traffic stops, directing traffic, and being visible in local schools.
“We issued six Summary Offence Tickets during this period, including tickets for speeding, speeding in a school zone, failing to obey a traffic sign, and failing to provide a driver’s license,” said Sgt. MacRae.

With the start of a new school year, police remind the public to drive carefully.
He urges residents to obey school zone speed limits.
“Please be mindful around school buses for the safety of children getting on and off buses,” he said.
Sgt. MacRae said East Hants RCMP will continue to have an increased presence in school zones in the month of September.
