LOWER SACKVILLE: The community spirit was alive on Sunday night as a crowd of an estimated 250 brought their blankets and chairs for a night of musical entertainment at Acadia Park.

They were there for the annual Concert in the Park in Lower Sackville put on by Woodbine Community N.S. non-profit society.

It may have been delayed a week due to weather, and the lineup changed just a little bit, but for the many that were there they didn’t mind one bit.

The concert started off with organizer Lyle Mailman and son Evan getting the crowd ready, followed by performances from Jaden and then Donavan Cyr, before it was time for their dad Jon to hit the stage.

Jon was joined on stage early on by a young girl and they both sang the catchy tune Pink Pony Club to the crowd.

There was face painting, a canteen and 50/50 tickets were sold at the event, which was organized by Mailman and some helpers.

The weather couldn’t have been any better.
