RCMP investigates weapon complaint, requests public assistance

LOWER SACKVILLE: RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a weapon complaint and requesting that anyone with information come forward. 

On September 22, at approximately 2:27 p.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to Sackville High School.

They were called to investigate a report of a youth in possession of a weapon off school property. 

Responding officers safely arrested the youth and subsequently conducted searches with assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services.

A weapon was not located and the youth was released without charge.   

The investigation is ongoing.
