DARTMOUTH: Tuesday, Nova Scotia Power issued an update on two commitments they made after last year’s cyber incident:
permanently removing customer Social Insurance Numbers (SINs) from our systems;

and reconnecting customer meters to our digital billing system.

“We committed to completing both by March 31 and can confirm we have done so,” a spokesperson said in a release.

“We’re committed to rebuilding trust with our customers.

“Part of that is following through on commitments we made following the cyberattack – including reconnecting meters to our billing system and ensuring all SINs have been removed from our system, both by the end of March.

“Our team has worked diligently to follow through on these commitments, and remain focused on
transparency, listening to our customers and earning their trust.”
