Taekwondo national championships heading to Halifax in 2026

HALIFAX: Taekwondo Canada is proud to announce that Halifax has been selected as the host city
for the 2026 Taekwondo Canada National Championships.

The successful bid, submitted by Taekwondo Nova Scotia in partnership with the Halifax Regional Municipality, Discover Halifax, and the Province of Nova Scotia, was chosen based on a range of criteria and stood out among strong contenders.

The National Championships are currently scheduled to take place in Halifax from February 5–7, 2026,
featuring the country’s top taekwondo athletes competing for national titles.

An event information package will be released at a later date with full details on the competition schedule, accommodations, venue, and more.

Cody White, President of Taekwondo Nova Scotia.
