Repaving, microsurfacing work begins on stretch of Hwy 102 near Enfield

ENFIELD: Paving and microsurfacing work has started over the weekend on a stretch of Hwy 102 known to be bad for its condition.

Work on repaving from exit 8 in Elmsdale to Exit 7 in Enfield began on Sept. 22.

The prep work for paving will be carried out during daytime hours, from 9 a.m. until sunset.

Paving will then begin overnight during the week of September 28th, taking place Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

It is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete, with an anticipated completion date of Oct 20.

The microsurfacing is from Exit 7 Enfield to Exit 5A Aerotech and began on Sept. 20.

It will take approximately two weeks to complete.

Work will be carried out during daytime hours, with operations running sunrise to sunset on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays.

It has an anticipated completion date of Oct 3.
